FARA Candidate driver Knoll shows great karting season

Eliah Knoll, a Candidate driver in the Formelaustria Race Academy, can look back on a highly successful DAI Trophy championship year

Although a technical issue caused Knoll to lose significant speed during the final three laps of the opening weekend in Bolzano, he still managed to secure a second-place finish.

This setback only served to make the 12-year-old stronger, and he went on to win every subsequent race weekend.

Eliah was able to play to his strengths in the races, after being outperformed several times by his competitors in qualifying.

Looking ahead to the winter, the focus now shifts to the KZ2 class, to which the Upper Austrian native will move up next season.

“The doubling of power, combined with brakes on all four wheels—as opposed to the rear-wheel-only braking system on a junior kart—makes for a major difference.”

“Furthermore, the KZ2 class uses a standing start rather than a rolling one, which presents yet another new challenge,” explained Knoll.

Nevertheless, the Formelaustria Race Academy talent is looking forward to this new challenge, especially since he is already very familiar with the tracks in Bolzano, Straubing, and Rottal.
