Since June 2026, Austria’s only single-seater academy has offered this second membership level, and Ramon Göde is the first top German talent to join.
Karting driver Ramon Göde is the latest addition to the Formelaustria Race Academy as a “Candidate Driver,” Austria’s only professional junior formula racing program. The teenager from Oranienburg near Berlin made his Formula 4 debut in July during test drives with Academy partner Renauer Motorsport, impressing with very good lap times, quick implementation of his driver coach’s instructions, and clear technical feedback.
Göde only entered the rental kart scene at the beginning of 2022, completed his first test in the X30 Junior in March 2025, and shortly afterwards drove his first races as a guest starter in Mülsen and Ampfing. In the summer of the same year, he moved up to the OK Junior class and competed in the Swiss Kart Championship. From November 2025, he competed in the X30 Senior category in France and Italy. After his first test in a Renault Twingo in January 2026, he moved on to Formula 4 sessions with Renauer Motorsport.
“Despite his young age, Ramon is very advanced both technically and mentally as a racing driver. He distinguished himself in both test sessions with his quick adaptability and precise vehicle feedback,” said Renauer Motorsport team principal Sepp Renauer.
For the remainder of the 2026 season, the young German driver will now participate in a Formula 4 development program to be able to compete in a Formula 4 championship next season. This program includes many test kilometres on the simulator, as well as on the racetrack, and strength and endurance training.
“Ramon is a diamond in the rough, and we are very pleased that he is now part of the Formelaustria Race Academy,” said program director Harry Miltner. “He’s ready to make the leap from karting to Formula 4, and we’ll be gradually introducing him to the top series.”
As a candidate driver, Ramon will also receive initial management and marketing support, as well as media training and presentation opportunities from the Formelaustria Race Academy. “This will give him training outside the cockpit and increase his visibility, which will help him and his parents find sponsors.”
“We’re delighted that Ramon is now part of the Formelaustria Race Academy. We accompanied him to both tests, had some great conversations with Sepp and Harry, and are convinced that joining the Academy is the right path for him,” says Göde’s mother, Anika, expressing her delight with the collaboration.
