Tomas Rudokas had a great F4 qualifying in Brno, but the race went south, while Luis Moser could not capitalise on his strong form after his second GT4 race was cancelled
Formelaustria Race Academy F4 driver Tomas Rudokas presented himself in top form at the qualifying of the F4 CEZ Championship hampered by mixed weather at the Autodrom Brno. The Lithuanian rookie placed his Renauer Motorsport car on P8, his best-ever F4 qualifying result.
However, in dry conditions Rudokas could not make his tires work in neither of the following three races of the weekend, losing several spots in each of them. In the end, the 17-year-old had to settle for P12, P14 and P24.
Rudokas is now focusing on the season finale at the notorious Hungaroring on 23-25 October near Budapest.

“Unbelievable… honestly, I’m really frustrated by today’s decision to cancel the race. We were here to fight for crucial championship points—and one less race means one less chance to secure them,” said the Formelaustria Race Academy driver.
After a botched qualifying session, Moser and his partner Luca Link started Race 1 from 12th place, but the duo charged up to 5th in their high-performing FK Performance BMW.
Consequently, Moser had high hopes for Race 2: “Especially after all the hard work the entire team put in to give us a car capable of running at the very front, it’s definitely disappointing not to get the chance to show what might have been possible.”
However, the Austrian teenager is putting the matter behind him: “That’s racing. We’ll see what the future holds. I’m already looking forward to getting back on track at Hockenheim…”
The season finale at the former Formula 1 circuit takes place on October 10–11.
