Knoll is the latest addition to the Formelaustria Race Academy!

The Upper Austrian kart racer joins as a Candidate Driver and is working towards a medium-term move to Formula 4.

Eliah Knoll is twelve years old and a racing driver through and through. The Schwertberg native has been karting since he was seven and competes in races all over Europe. Now he’s part of the Formelaustria Race Academy, Austria’s only professional junior driver program.

“We’ve reached a point where, as parents, we need the help of professionals to further plan and advance Eliah’s racing career. We had very good talks with Harry Miltner and are convinced that this is the right step,” says his father, Stefan Knoll.

Eliah first came into contact with karting during a summer vacation in Greece. He really wanted to drive children’s karts, but unfortunately, they were all broken at the time. “I then promised him that he could race at home in Austria,” Stefan recalls.

Shortly afterwards, Knoll took his first laps at the karting center in Rotthalmünster, Germany, near the Austrian border, and has remained loyal to the sport ever since. In 2020, he competed in his first race in Bolzano, Italy, and after the then seven-year-old had experienced the thrill of racing, his decision was made.

In 2021, he completed his first full racing season in Germany, Italy, and Austria (DAI-TROPHY). In 2023, he achieved his first pole positions and race wins – including victories in additional championships in the Czech Republic and Slovakia – as well as the overall DAI-TROPHY title and a second-place finish at the Moravsky Pohar.

Eliah, whose idol is two-time world champion Fernando Alonso, currently races in the KZ Junior category (6-speed manual transmission) and is gaining further experience to enter the Karting World Championship as soon as he has reached the ago of 15.

“We are delighted to welcome Eliah, another Austrian talent, to the Academy. We will support him and his family in taking the next steps towards professional motorsport,” explained Formelaustria Race Academy director Harry Miltner.

As part of the Formelaustria Race Academy “Candidate Driver” program, Knoll will receive initial management and marketing tools, as well as media training and presentation opportunities, to help him increase his visibility and attract more partners.

Karting talents and top sim racers from Austria, as well as from abroad, can apply for admission to the Formelaustria Race Academy by contacting office@formelaustria.at.
