Formelaustria Race Academy Driver Moser Secures First GT4 Podium

The Austrian driver took third place in Saturday’s race at the Nürburgring with his FK Performance BMW.

In front of packed grandstands, Luis Moser and his teammate Luca Link raced to their first overall podium finish in the ADAC GT4 Germany series in the Eifel region.

“What a result! This is simply fantastic. We’ve been rewarded for all our hard work this season,” beamed the 18-year-old.

Link started Saturday’s race from ninth place, got off to a strong start, and fought his way up to sixth after several long and intense battles.

“When I got into the car, I had an excellent track position to make up a few more spots. After a really tough race, I was finally able to bring the car home in fourth. But then one of the cars in front of us received a time penalty, which moved us up to third!” Moser continued.

Things didn’t look so promising on Sunday, as the Austrian driver’s fastest qualifying lap was deleted, meaning he would start from P14.

“Despite that, I was able to really push hard in the first few laps and fight my way up to P8. Battling with two cars ahead of me, we opted for an overcut first and then tried to overtake the next car with an undercut. So it wasn’t just the pace that was strong – the strategy played a big role too.”

Teammate Link took over the car in sixth place, kept pushing hard, and moved up to P5 shortly before the end.

“A great race by us! What a comeback! From P14 to P5. I want to thank my FK Performance Team for the great strategy and Luca for the fantastic teamwork. We really gave it our all today!”

Moser and his teammates will be back in action from September 11th to 13th at the Sachsenring!
