Marcel Kieser left the Pannoniaring with mixed feelings.
The Lower Austrian native was competing in Formula 4 with Renauer Motorsport at the Hungarian circuit and posted strong lap times in the free practice sessions.
In qualifying, Kieser secured a solid fourth place on the grid and hoped for a podium finish in the race.
“Unfortunately, the start went completely wrong, and I lost several positions. I managed to regain fourth place, but it was obviously a shame that I couldn’t challenge for the podium.”
Kieser emphasized the extreme heat on the plains around Lake Balaton. “That was certainly my hottest race so far, in terms of cockpit temperature. But I coped with it without any problems.”
The Formelaustria Race Academy driver knows that there’s still a lot of work ahead of him “so that I can post some podium photos at the next race.”
