Despite challenging weather conditions, the Formelaustria.at Race Academy drivers enjoyed a successful weekend at the F4 CZE Championship at the Salzburgring.
Rookie Tomas Rudokas achieved his best race result to date in his Renauer Motorsport Tatuus F4, finishing 11th. The Lithuanian driver had been in 8th place before being pushed off the track by Ella Hakkinen, daughter of the two-time F1 world champion, shortly before the finish.
“It was a rollercoaster weekend for me – great qualy, poor start in race 1, then the catch-up from last to P15, followed by a good second race, and finally the cancellation of race 3 due to the thunderstorms,” the Lithuanian commented.
Teammate Andreas Lo Bue showed impressive overtaking manoeuvers in both races making up several spots after a hampered qualy to finish in the Top 10 overall twice.
Moreover, the Franco-Swiss driver secured another victory and a second-place in the Rookie Rocket classification.
